🛡️ Why Our Golden Rule Exists

At querovoar.net, safety is not a slogan — it’s a system.

Every flight depends on:

  • Wind behavior

  • Flag classification

  • Passenger weight limits

  • Equipment specifications

  • National aviation regulations

If any of these factors are outside acceptable ranges, we do not fly. This is why our safety record is one of the strongest in Brazil.

🚦 1. The Official Flag System (Wind Safety Rules)

We monitor the weather constantly using:

  • High-precision online stations

  • On-site pilot observers

  • Ramp-mounted HD cameras

  • Real-time wind instruments

From this information, we classify the day into three possible flags:

🟥 RED FLAG — No Flight Allowed

ree

Wind is unsafe, undefined, or dangerous.

  • ❌ Paragliding → Not allowed

  • ❌ Hang Gliding → Not allowed

  • 🔁 Reschedule or

  • 💰 Refund via PayPal (within 5 business days)

🟨 YELLOW FLAG — Conditional Flight

Wind is irregular but may improve.

  • ✔️ Paragliding allowed (if passenger meets weight limit)

  • Hang Gliding NOT allowed

This is because hang gliding requires stronger and more consistent wind to launch safely.

⚖️ 2. Weight Limits: The Non-Negotiable Aviation Rule

Every wing — paraglider or hang glider — has a factory-certified weight range.Exceeding it is illegal and unsafe.

🪁 Hang Gliding Weight Limit:

Up to 144 lb (65 kg)

  • Allowed only with Green Flag

🪂 Paragliding Weight Limit:

Up to 220 lb (100 kg)

  • Allowed in Green or Yellow Flag, if no other risks exist

These limits protect:

  • Wing structural integrity

  • Takeoff acceleration

  • Landing control

  • Insurance validity

  • Pilot and passenger safety

This is why weight limits form part of our Golden Rule — absolutely non-negotiable.

🛫 3. Summary: When Can You Fly What?

✔️ Green Flag

  • Paragliding → YES (≤ 220 lb)

  • Hang Gliding → YES (≤ 144 lb)

✔️ Yellow Flag

  • Paragliding → YES (≤ 220 lb)

  • Hang Gliding → NO

✔️ Red Flag

  • No flights

  • Reschedule or refund

This matrix ensures the safest possible environment for your Rio adventure.

🛰️ 4. How We Detect the Flags

Every 3–5 minutes, our team cross-checks:

  • Wind speed

  • Wind direction

  • Wind gusts

  • Thermal activity

  • Cloud movement

  • On-site pilot reports

This is real-time aviation monitoring — not guesswork.
